A group of us went to Devon for a few days. We wanted to get away, go for lots of walks and hang out together. This trip had all of that and more! It was awesome!
If you’re into walking and seeing beautiful sights, I would wholeheartedly recommend the following walks.
Otterton Rondwanderling
This was a coastal walk that was about 9 kilometres. As you can see, the views were stunning!
One of the views that I found most captivating was the one you see in the first photo.
Burrator Reservoir to Leather Tor – Reservoir and Tor
This walk was about 8.4 kilometres.
The colours that we saw were stunning.
Lydford Gorge
This walk was meant to be 4.5 kilometres but it was cut short due to restrictions that were put in place because of covid.
Branscome to Beer and back again
This was a coastal walk that was about 10.5 kilometres.
The colour of the water was just so inviting and calming.
Teign Gorge Classic Circuit
This walk was 13.8 kilometres.
We saw many gorgeous shades of green.
Bolt Head to South Sands
This was a coastal walk which was 8.7 kilometres.
It was tough but worth it.
The views were breathtaking!
Details about the walks
You can find more information about these walks, and others, on AllTrails.
Where we stayed
We stayed at The Big Barn.
The barn was beautiful, spacious and it was designed really well.
The kitchen was big enough for a number of people to be cooking, preparing, washing up etc. and there were a variety of pots and pans, which made cooking easy.
So if you fancy going on a staycation that includes wonderful walks and beautiful sights, I would definitely recommend Devon.
