I received this by email and I thought it was excellent! Have a read and then I’ll tell you what touched me about it. 🙂
The last bit where the elder asks the youngen ‘…what are you doing for the next generation?’ resonated with me. Why? Well, I think there are people are generally more self centred now. They can’t see beyond themselves and their needs. Thus doing anything for future generations doesn’t come into it, whether this be recycling, saving, thinking ahead, developing the community, the neighbourhood etc. This all involves looking beyond yourselves, our family unit, right? How many of us do that?
Am I being pessimistic? Please do tell me…
